PM Modi to inaugurate DefExpo22 in Gujarat on Wednesday
The Prime Minister will visit Gujarat on 19- 20 October and devote as well as lay the foundation gravestone of systems worth around Rs,670 crore.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the DefExpo22 at Gandhinagar, Gujarat, on Wednesday, in a significant step towards showcasing India’s defense manufacturing prowess.
The Expo will take place at the Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar.
Being held under the theme ‘ Path to Pride ’, it'll have the largest- ever participation in the exhibition, according to a PMO statement.
About the Expo
For the first time, the Expo will witness a defense exhibition held simply for Indian companies, including Indian accessories of Foreign OEMs, Division of company registered in India, Exhibitor having Joint Venture with an Indian company.
The Expo will comprise an India Pavilion and ten state belvederes. At the India Pavilion, Prime Minister will unveil HTT- 40 – the indigenous coach aircraft designed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited( HAL). The aircraft has state of art contemporary systems and has been designed with airman-friendly features.
Also, it'll see the 2nd India- Africa Defense Dialogue under the theme ‘ India- Africa espousing strategy for energizing Defense and Security cooperation ’.
The 2nd Indian Ocean Region( IOR) Conclave will be held during the Expo, to give a stage for a comprehensive dialogue to promote defense cooperation among IOR nations to foster peace, growth, stability, and substance.
The first- ever Investors ’ Meet for defense will also be held during the Expo. It'll witness further than a hundred startups getting an occasion to showcase their inventions at Manthan 2022, the defense invention event of iDEX( inventions for Defense Excellence).
Other programs of the PM in Gujarat
At around noon on Wednesday, the Prime Minister will launch the Mission seminaries of Excellence at Adalaj. latterly in the day, he'll inaugurate India Urban Housing Conclave 2022 and devote and lay the foundation gravestone of multiple crucial systems in Rajkot.
Also, he'll inaugurate the exhibition of innovative construction practices in Rajkot in the evening.
On Thursday, he'll launch Mission Life and also share in the 10th Heads of operations conference in Kevadia.
