A rural teacher from Maharashtra has been awarded the Global Teacher Prize for his efforts to encourage girls in an Indian primary school to study and engage them with technology. The 32-year-old winner, Ranjit Singh Disale, has been awarded 10 1 million (38 73.8 million). Disale has now decided to donate half of this amount. The Wark Foundation in London has been awarding exceptional teachers for their outstanding contributions since 2014.
