On this auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi, Lord Ganesha will be worshiped in the auspicious time and the laddus and modak will be offered. This ten day long Ganeshotsav is most visible in the state of Maharashtra. On the special occasion of Ganeshotsav, a special aarti is being organized in Ganapati temples of Maharashtra. A special aarti was also performed at the most popular Siddhi Vinayak temple in Mumbai, Shree Ganesh Temple Tekdi in Nagpur and Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple in Pune.

Recognition regarding Ganesh Chaturthi
It is believed that Lord Ganesha was born on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi. According to the scriptures, on the fourth day of Shukla Paksha of Bhadra month i.e. from today, the festival of Lord Ganesha will be celebrated for 10 days in many states of India. Ganapathi Bappa will be sitting at home.
