People are facing unemployment due to the coronavirus epidemic. With that in mind the government has taken a step to provide relief to the people. The Union Labor Ministry has announced that if employees working in companies lose their jobs between March and December this year, the government will pay unemployment benefits. It will benefit about 35 lakh employees.


Who will benefit?
It will benefit unemployed people who have lost their jobs between March 24 and December 31, 2020. In addition, the company is required to be registered under the Workers Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC). To benefit the workers, Atal Bimit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana, which is managed by ESIC. It has been extended until June 30, 2021. Unemployment allowance is available under this scheme.

Must be attached to ESI scheme for 2 years
It will benefit workers who have been associated with the ESI scheme for at least the last 2 years. This means that those who have joined the scheme from 1 April 2018 to 31 March 2020 will get the benefit. In the meantime, you must work at least 78 days between 1 October 2019 and 31 March 2020.

3 months will get half the celery
An unemployed person can get this allowance for 3 months. It can claim 50 percent of the average salary for 3 months. Earlier this limit was 25 per cent. But the rule has been changed. He used to get the benefit 90 days after becoming unemployed. It has been reduced to 30 days.

21000 Rs. Till the benefit on celery
ESI benefits employees working in private companies, factories and factories. An ESI card is made for it. The employee can avail the scheme on the basis of this card or documents brought from the company. The benefit of ESI is available to those employees whose monthly income is Rs 21,000 or less. However, in the case of disabled people, the income limit is Rs 25,000.

How to benefit?
Employees associated with ESIC can go to any branch of ESIC and apply for it. The application will then be confirmed by ESIC and the amount will be credited to the account of the concerned employee if it deems fit.
