The “Staff Selection Commission” was formed to carry out the functions assigned to it from Resolution No. of the General Administration Department of the Government of Gujarat. It was decided to keep the name of this commission “Gujarat Karmachari Sandagi Mandal” for the purpose of making it more specific considering the name of the commission, its functions, scope of work, etc. Therefore, since there cannot be two commissions, the name of the Mandal has been changed to “Gujarat Secondary Service Selection Board” from the Resolution of the SWA Department. This office has the status of the head office of the department.
